TV Operation

Depending on what lodge you are at, the way your TV works will change.

Room TVs

For Davey:

  1. Turn TV on using the black remote

If your TV is not working, follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure everything is plugged in correctly
  2. Press the source button on the TV remote. Use the arrow buttons to select “DVI”.

For Kinloch:

  1. Turn TV on using the black remote
  2. Ensure TV channel is set to ‘SCART’
  3. A menu page (with a white background) will appear on the screen
  4. Using the white remote, hold down ‘STB’ button for 3 seconds (it will light up)
  5. You should now be able to change channels; press 0 to return to local menu , or press 1 to return to satellite TV menu

If your TV is not working, follow the steps below:

  1. Switch off both the TV and the Set Top Box (STB) from the main power source (either turn it off at the wall or unplug it).
  2. Wait 5 seconds, to allow it to reset
  3. Ensure TV channel is set to ‘SCART’

If you try and change channels and get a blank screen with black & white dots moving, please ensure that you hold down the ‘STB’ button before changing the channels.

If you get a black screen with a mouse cursor, or a webpage with the logo ‘Amino’ and/or ‘Oracle’, please report the issue to Reception.

Please report all other issues to reception.

For Warrumbul and Lena Karmel:

  1. Turn TV on using the red power button on the TV remote (the TV remote is rectangular, whilst the set top box (STB) remote is curved.
  2. Press the source button on the TV remote. Use the arrow buttons to select “HDMI”. Note that in multishare apartments there will be more than one HDMI source. Find which HDMI input is being used for your TV by switching through them until the Digital TV main page is displayed.
  3. Using the STB remote (the silver, rounded one), press and hold the STB button, until it lights up.
  4. Using the white remote, hold down ‘STB’ button for 3 seconds (it will light up)
  5. Use the STB remote to change channels.

If you get a blank screen with a mouse cursor, or a black screen which says “loading”, please report the issue to Reception.
